Secretum tells the story of Jero, a very young bird who lost his mother in a storm. Then he's adopted by a grown female bird who pretends to love and protect him, but is actually abusing him. Over time Jero grows up, and as a teen realizes that the caresses of his step-mother are not an expression of true love. Then he must gather the necessary courage to escape the painful secret he's been forced to keep for so long. Told in the style of a dark fable, Secretum is a story of abuse and manipulation portrayed by birds, but inspired by actual events.

Javier Gutiérrez
Javier Gutiérrez was born in Mexico City, he studied communication sciences at the center for studies in communication sciences. He is the co-founder and director of the animation studio Ciberfilms from 2000 to 2015, in 2018 he founded isd studio. He has been recognized on two occasions at the Cannes festival: Voodoo Bayou and Muerte Muerta.
